Last Friday, the AutoMat project was presented at the Circubat 2025 final conference, held in Bern, Switzerland.
The event focused on the development of a circular economy for lithium-ion batteries, exploring technical and scientific solutions to extend their lifespan, facilitate recycling, and reduce environmental impact.
Thanks to the speaking invitation extended by Dr. Christian Ochsenbein, CEO of SIPBB – Switzerland Innovation Park Biel/Bienne, Riccardo Morina and Fabio Tognocchi from ERP Italia Servizi, coordinator of the AutoMat project, had the opportunity to present the project’s objectives, results and contribution to building a more efficient and sustainable European battery recycling model.
The participation represented not only a valuable dissemination opportunity but also an international exchange moment, thanks to contributions from key speakers such as Dr. Stefan-Octavian Bezrucav - Head of Preprocessing at Cylib and Thomas Schmidberger - Business Development Manager at KUKA.
This engagement further strengthened the synergies between AutoMat and other European initiatives dedicated to developing circular solutions for batteries.
