Two Days of Exchange, Progress and Shared Vision
On 18 and 19 March, the General Assembly of the AutoMat project took place, hosted by FAAM at their premises in Teverola (CE). The event brought the entire consortium together at a crucial moment in the project's journey: month 27, a phase in which the results achieved are becoming increasingly tangible and collaboration among partners continues to grow stronger.
Work Package Progress and a Special Visit
The first day was dedicated to a comprehensive overview of the Work Package advancement. Having reached month 24, the project has already achieved significant milestones: WP2, WP3 and WP4 have been officially completed, reflecting the robustness of the work carried out so far. Each partner shared their results with the consortium — including updates on already-completed Work Packages — providing an integrated and transparent view of the overall progress. The day concluded with the presentation of Pilot 1.
Participants also had the opportunity to visit FAAM's production line, a particularly appreciated moment that allowed the consortium to gain a closer understanding of the host organisation's activities and expertise.
Pilots, Communication and Dissemination
The second day placed Pilots 2 and 3 at the centre of attention, with presentations illustrating the latest developments and perspectives for further evolution.
The Assembly then closed with the Communication Work Package session, which at this stage of the project has taken on particular relevance. With increasingly concrete and measurable results, the consortium identified this as the right moment to step up dissemination efforts and ensure the work carried out receives the visibility it deserves. A range of tools and channels were discussed and planned: from the project's social media and web channels, to participation in conferences and industry events, through to the production of videos and the organisation of webinars. The goal is to effectively reach different target audiences — from the scientific community to industrial stakeholders, including non-technical audiences — and to enhance the visibility and impact of the project within its broader context.
Looking Ahead, Together
Running across both days was a theme of great strategic relevance: the future of the project. The consortium dedicated time to reflecting on next steps, emerging opportunities and possible new directions, in a spirit of openness and co-construction that has characterised AutoMat's culture from the very beginning.
As always, the General Assembly proved to be far more than a simple reporting occasion. It was a lively moment of direct exchange among partners, where each participant could voice their needs, identify any challenges and find within the consortium the necessary support to address them. This spirit of mutual collaboration is one of the project's defining strengths and a key driver of its cohesion.
Sincere thanks go to all partners for their constant commitment and the quality of the contributions brought over these months. A special thank you to FAAM for their warm hospitality and for making their facilities available, helping to make these two days an experience as productive as it was enjoyable.
