General Assembly of the AutoMat Project: Two Days of Cooperation and Innovation
Biel/Bienne - 25 & 26 June 2025
The General Assembly of the AutoMat project, held at the Switzerland Innovation Park Biel/Bienne (SIPBB) in Switzerland on 25 and 26 June 2025, was completed successfully. The event was a key moment to evaluate the progress achieved so far and define the future plans of the consortium.
Day One: Analysis of Work Packages and Technical Progress
The welcome on the first day was managed by the SIPBB, which provided a brief history of the city of Biel/Bienne and the world of business that furnished the context for the occasion. The ERP Italia Servizi project coordinator then presented a general summary of progress made on the project, outlining the goals achieved and visions for the future.
The main part of the day was filled with an exhaustive presentation of the progress achieved in each Work Package. All partners in the consortium had the opportunity to exhibit their work, conveying the results achieved and the methodologies built up to the rest of the project partners.
At the end of every presentation, there was time for discussion, where the partners had a chance to ask questions, raise technical issues and share constructive feedback. The discussion underscored the collaborative spirit of the project and the importance each partner attached to contributing to the achievement of shared objectives.
One of the highlights was a tour of the SIPBB workshop, where the work and projects they were engaged in could be viewed and participants gained a better understanding of the company.
Day Two: Pilot and Operational Strategy Emphasis
The second day was focused on a close look at the three pilots for AutoMat. Detailed discussion took place regarding each pilot, with the responsible partners presenting current developments and implementation strategies.
These meetings presented an excellent opportunity for strategic convergence among all concerned so that future aims and approaches could be mutually determined. The face-to-face interaction encouraged the development of creative solutions and maximisation of existing resources.
On the second day, the RENOVATE Project, also co-funded by the European Union, was presented, broadening the perspective on current research and innovation projects and offering insights into possible synergies between different European initiatives.
Results and Perspectives
The two working days consolidated the stability of the AutoMat consortium and the quality of the results achieved so far. The event highlighted how the synergy between the partners' diverse specialist skills is the key added value for the success of the project.
The General Assembly also emphasized the importance of continuous exchange of knowledge and know-how, an aspect of essential relevance to overcome the technical and methodological challenges inherent in a research and innovation project of this size.
The AutoMat consortium goes on with increased commitment in achieving its goals, sustained by the firm collaboration among its partners and the sharing of a common vision of innovation for the sector.
